Bill Wells, Founder and President
Having a strong passion for fire protection services, Wells established his dream firm—Mack Fire Protection—from the ground up in 2005. Right off the bat, he started incorporating new designs and technical advancements to existing wet and dry-pipe systems and other special hazard systems during the time. Over the years, the demand for Mack Fire Protection’s solutions and services has grown considerably owing to its inventiveness and intuitiveness. And today, traversing over 15 years of success in the domain, Mack Fire positions itself as one of the largest locally-owned, non-union fire protection companies in the state of Connecticut. “We were able to attain such a height because of our undeterred focus on fire protection product quality, which has continuously evolved with the changing market trends,” highlights Wells, founder and president of Mack Fire.
From end-to-end fire sprinkler and pump systems to fire alarm and monitors to special hazard systems, Mack Fire currently houses an illustrated suite of solutions for a diverse clientele. “Whatever your need is in terms of fire protection solutions, we already have it on our offering list,” states Wells. Even when Mack Fire cannot offer a unique solution themselves, they partner with other leading fire protection solution providers to offer a unified package of unparalleled fire protection solutions and services. Apart from these, Mack Fire also provides a broad range of life safety services and programs, including consultation and design as well as custom engineering, retrofitting, and testing of fire protection devices and tools. “In a nutshell, are a one-stop shop for all fire protection needs,” says Wells.
What equally complements Mack Fire’s quality fire protection products is its highly trained staff, who can service all types of fire sprinkler systems—regardless of the size, complexity, or system manufacturer.
Mack Fire’s able team also holds the ability to fine-tune any of their services to ensure that their client’s specific needs are being justly met.
These competencies have aided Mack Fire to dominate all sectors of fire sprinklers and have allowed them to create and maintain long-lasting relationships with their clients. Mack Fire’s experts start by coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and other professionals for each design and installation process. Together, they create custom drawings and hydraulically calculate each system for the appropriate level of fire protection. Mack Fire’s design team then attentively executes every aspect of the project. Be it planning and fabrication or working alongside the field members throughout the project’s installation and quality control subdivisions.
Further substantiating the company’s prowess, Wells narrates a client success story. One of their customers had a project in a remote area of the state (Connecticut) where there was no water available. However, Mack Fire leveraged its innovative thinking to aid the customer. They designed a system with a hydro-pneumatic tank located in the basement of the building. The company also provided the facility owner with necessary training once the system was installed. But that’s not all! Even after the fire sprinkler system went online, Mack Fire has been handling the maintenance and inspection of the installation. In doing so, Mack Fire wants to assure all its clients that they are more than just any other “one and done” kind of contractors. The company is built to guide its clients through every thick and thin: from new construction through to testing and inspections for years to come.
“Whatever your need is in terms of fire protection solutions, we already have it on our offering list,” states Bill Wells, Founder and President
This is but one of the many ingenious success stories that Mack Fire has helped craft over the years. Moving forward with such a positive track record, Mack Fire is now planning to add new technological capabilities for inspection, servicing, and maintenance of its fire protection systems. “Since COVID-19 has created a barrier in our physical movements, we are looking at other tech-enabled alternatives to remotely monitor our devices, for now, and for the future,” adds Wells. Alongside, Mack Fire is also looking to build an internal department to handle the rising demands for fire suppression solutions. “We have previously partnered with reputed fire suppressing solution providers. But in the future, we are building a dedicated department to develop these solutions in-house,” shares the founder/president. “And through such growth plans, we want to bolster our prominence as a one-stop-shop for all fire protection needs of our clients.”
